Is this art?

While viewing my entry into the Photo Philly, I ran across the following works of art.  So what exactly is art?  Are their requirements for a work to be art?  Are the works below art?

Thanksgiving Tradition (At least for this year)...

Ever since I was a little kid my father would take my brother and I to the Thanksgiving Game between Owen J Roberts and Pottstown High School.  This year was the last year for the Thanksgiving match-up.  My brother and I went to the game and I was able to get on the field for the last quarter to take a few pictures.
