When visiting Washington for a history conference I had an opportunity to visit Occupied Washington. The mood in Washington was quite different then I saw in Philly. The people in Washington were not homeless and were choosing to live in the Occupied Region. I met a man from Guatemala who owned a business in American and after retiring went back to his native homeland. After hearing about the Occupied Movement he decided to come and protest in Washington. He has been living in a tent ever since. The Occupiers were listening to a band and at night watching It's a Wonderful Life on a big film screen. Below are pictures of several of the Occupiers making a Christmas Tree of of plastics. They plan to raise the tree the night the city plans to light their Christmas Tree.
